"Index Trading" is probably the easiest and most profitable way to make money in the stock market for the average person. All you need is a reliable system for timing the markets.

Even if you suck at market timing, there is still hope. Fortunately there are many trading strategies available for a subscription fee that will do the countless hours of research for you. They will time the market for you and inform you of shifts in the markets and the trades that need to be made.

But what system is right trading system for you?

When we did a search on Google for "Index Trading Strategy" and "ETF Trading Strategy", we were presented with many options. Such an information overload. Where can one find the info needed to make a decision on which strategy is best for you?.

So we decided to put this website together to help you sort through the mess. It was a time consuming chore, but we searched tirelessly through the claims of the top 5 trading strategies. We did not actually try all these services. We are just reporting the claims they make on their site. We suggest you verify the claims of the trading strategy that interests you. The main things we were looking for were:
  • Return

HOW WE CHOOSE OUR TOP PICK

Right off the bat we had to eliminate the bottom two in the chart above. Why? Their returns SUCK! We are trading ETF's here people. Anyone can buy and hold a 3x ETF that tracks the S&P 500 or DOW. Historically the markets rise 11% per year. Buying and holding a 3x ETF like UPRO (tracks the S&P 500), on average, should return around 33% per year.

In fact, five years ago UPRO was at $9.87. Today it is at $58.69. That's an average 37% gain every year for the last five years. NEVER consider any trading strategy that returns less.

If anyone can buy and hold UPRO and average 33%+ a year for doing nothing, then the ONLY reason to use any trading strategy is to get a return that is MUCH greater. Only two companies, StockLocater.com and AlgoTrades.net offer a much greater return. But these returns can be a bit confusing since they do not take into account subscription fees and broker fees. So let us do the math for you.

We will assume each "trade" requires two brokerage fees. When we refer to a "trade" above, that includes closing one position and opening the opposite position right after. If your broker charges $7 to close a position and $7 to open one, you spend $14 to do the trade required for that strategy.

AlgoTrades requires average 145 trades a year at average $14 broker fee per trade = $2,030 + $3,997 subscription fee = $6,027 per year. So lets assume you start with $35,000. You lose $4,000 right away to a subscription fee leaving you with $31,000. If you add 127% gain to that you get around $70,000 for a 100% gain. Subtract commissions and the real gain is 94%.

Now let's compare that to StockLocater.com. A subscription fee of $239 leaves you with $9,761 to invest. With a 100% gain you have $19,522 subtract $238 in brokerage fees leaves you with $19,284 for a real gain of 93%!

As you can see after costs, both strategies promise 93% to 94% return on your money. Well worth the price of the subscription. However, StockLocater gets our top pick because you can start with a smaller portfolio and requires a LOT LESS WORK. You only have to go online an average 17 times a year compared to AlgoTrade's 145.

Seriously, 145 times? That's more than one every two days! Most people have jobs or businesses to run, families to manage, vacations to take. We like less work so StockLocater.com's Index Trading Strategy is our top choice.
